Chamonix are a well known brand that appears to be an excellent brand choice for taking care of your skin and slowing down the signs of aging. They offer a wide range of product options and we like the amount of discounts that are available. Read our full review to find out more and better understand if this is a good choice and what results you are likely experience.
Chamonix are a very well-known brand in the US and have been around for a number of years having been made popular via a radio talk show. They offer a range of skin and hair care products as well as vitamins. This company had many plus points for us however, some of the negatives left them in second place. As with most skin care brands, manufacturers are very good at 'talking the talk' but when it comes to hard evidence to back up their claims, they fall way short. Unfortunately, Chamonix also fall prey to this trap. We were unable to find any scientific evidence on their site that explains about the ingredients that they put into their products. We are tired of products that claim to get a specific result without zero evidence backing up the claim. This is a tiresome practice that many manufacturers employ.
These guys are also not shy in asking a substantial price tag for their products either. With some well over $140 per bottle, we think this is fairly high. Saying that, they have some great discounts and they really encourage consumers to become part of the Chamonix experience which feels as though you are part of a positive company community.
We did like that they have a good range of products and that they seem to offer packages of various products that compliment each other well. They have a good BBB rating and we found their live chat helpful.
We really tried to like this company more because we think that they were almost there. However, we just wish that they would show us a little more hard evidence in what their formulas contain and what scientific evidence they have for including them in their products.
The ingredients found in Chamonix products focus mainly on anti-aging properties derived from antioxidant rich ingredients.
Cranberry: The tocotrienols in cranberries have great antioxidant properties, which help protect the skin from stress caused by sunlight. It also has omega oils to nourish and moisturize the skin while calming inflammation.
Grape Seed Extract: Containing chemicals known as polyphenols, scientifically recognized to be powerful antioxidants, grape seed extract is instrumental in protecting the skin from free radical damage.
Vitamin E: This vitamin is an excellent antioxidant, protecting the skin from environmental pollution and UV radiation. It also has excellent moisturizing properties and an anti-inflammatory action, which helps prevent skin aging.
Green Tea: Extensive research has shown that this botanical extract not only has amazing antioxidant and cell protective qualities, but also protects collagen, a primary component of healthy skin, and fights inflammation.
We were also able to find some patented and trademarked ingredients such as PhytoCellTec and Eyeseryl which is great news. However, not all the products contained such ingredients and none contained more than two.
Saying all this, upon further inspection on their site we found ingredients called Relaxderm Technology, MDL Technology, or Gynostemma and now whilst these may seem to sound scientific we have no idea whatsoever what these truly are and if they really work. This manufacturer needs to be more transparent regarding the ingredients they include in their formulas.
Chamonix products are definitely not the cheapest products that we have seen but they are not the most expensive either. They offer a range of options to allow the consumer full autonomy in being able to choose a skin care regimen that will work for them and one that they can afford. Where this company excel is in the discounts that they offer various times throughout the year e.g. Easter, Christmas, Summer etc. where they offer things like BOGOF offers or 30% if you buy 2 products or more. This can substantially reduce the cost which is great news for consumers.
Chamonix's returns policy is a fairly simple 4-month money back guarantee. They state that you are able to return items (used or unused) within a 4-month period from the date the order was placed. There are certain rules and regulations that come with returning items such as having to contact the customer service first, but the process seems relatively straight forward. The customer is responsible for all shipping costs.
Chamonix really do make huge efforts in offering an effective range of products with a real emphasis on customer satisfaction. They provide a wide range of product options and they include some excellent offers if you buy more than one product at a time, or at specific times of the year such as the holidays. We found some excellent ingredients included in their formulas and several products even contained patented ingredients. However, most products did not contain patented ingredients and when they did, they only contain 2 maximum which is much lower than our number 1 brand choice. Whatsmore, they offer a low percentage of actives which is a shame because we know that is what makes the difference of a successful product or not.
We did appreciate the fact that Chamonix offer a 4-month guarantee which means that they are confident about the results you are likely to experience. We would like to have seen longer than 4-months but considering that many companies offer no guarantee at all, we were happy with this.
This company was almost there. With a few tweaks, they could be a serious contender for our #1 top spot.
