The question we asked ourselves was if it was actually necessary to go to your doctor in order to purchase a high-quality Vitamin C serum. In short, is this worth its price tag of $127 per 1 fluid ounce bottle? In order to answer this, we investigated all the ingredients found in this serum. This contains 20% Vitamin C for the most effective dose. It also contains Hyaluronic Acid as Sodium Hyaluronate, which is also the most effective way at locking in moisture in skin cells. So far, we were impressed. However, we were surprised to see the inclusion of a fragrance, which can be irritating to many skin types. Additionally we were puzzled to see the exclusion of Vitamin E as there are many studies which show how much stronger the effects of Vitamin C are when combined with Vitamin E. Perhaps most concerning is that there is no money-back guarantee if you are not happy with your results. So while this Vitamin C serum hits many of our criteria, it didn’t check all of them, and therefore we reviewed it here. Our full review will explain all you need to know.

Conclusion
Obagi Professional - C Serum 20% is marketed in an exclusive way in order to promote the idea that it is a high-quality Vitamin C serum. It is not all a marketing ploy. It does contain a 20% concentration of Vitamin C for the most powerful concentration available. It also contains Sodium Hyaluronate for the most effective way to lock in moisture. However, we noted that the Vitamin C used here is Ascorbic Acid. This is known to be unstable as it oxidizes quickly and therefore can degrade before customers have a chance to use this product. Furthermore, it requires an acidic pH in order to be absorbed properly which can irritate and dry out skin. We were also extremely disappointed that Vitamin E has been omitted from this formula. In addition to being a powerful antioxidant, Vitamin E is researched and proven to enhance the benefits of Vitamin C. The vast majority of the products we reviewed all included Vitamin E in their formulas. Also, the addition of a fragrance seemed unnecessary and even possibly irritating for many skin types. Finally, because the manufacturer does not directly sell to consumers, it cannot offer a money-back guarantee. So while customers may want to try Obagi Professional - C Serum 20% , many will find the price to be unaffordable at $127 per bottle, especially without any kind of guarantee if you don’t get the results you are looking for.
