Introduction

Coming in at our number 2 spot is Revive Science Retinol Cream. With claims that their products have been seen on over 200 news sites, including Fox and NBC News, we were excited to see what the formula from this brand would look like. We very much like that this Retinol cream contains a plethora of natural and organic ingredients with no parabens or toxic ingredients and that it comes in a hygienic pump bottle. However, the clinically-proven ingredients are very difficult to identify and quantify, and we are not told what percentage of the Retinol cream contains the active ingredients, making it very difficult to judge the true efficacy and quality of this product. For more information about whether this Retinol cream is right for you, read our full review.

Ingredients

There are a significant number of active ingredients in this formula, which we applaud, but unfortunately, their percentages and quantities are not made available to potential customers and there is a lack of more detailed information on Revive Science’s website. The key ingredients included are:

  • Retinol - helps to reduce the appearance of wrinkles by nourishing skin, stimulating collagen production & promoting circulation for a more even complexion.
  • Vitamin C - contains antioxidants that help with the skin's regeneration process.
  • Hyaluronic Acid - moisturizes the skin and neutralizes free radicals to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
  • Niacinamide - to brighten dark spots, soothe redness and help with hyperpigmentation.
  • Soluble Collagen - to help with skin renewal, and with firming and softening properties.
  • Glycolic Acid - to promote collagen production and exfoliate dead skin cells.
There are over 55 other ingredients in this product, many of which are natural and free of parabens, GMOs and preservatives. There are several other ingredients that were mentioned on the Revive Science site but not necessarily as active ingredients. For example, Vitamin E is included to work in conjunction with the Glycolic Acid. They have also specifically mentioned Citrus Fruit Extract to support collagen production, and Argan Oil that works to hydrate the skin and promote a clear complexion. But in a glaring omission, the company has failed to demonstrate that its product has a decent percentage of the active ingredients that would have propelled this product to a higher spot.

How To Use

The application instructions are to apply between a pea-sized to dime-sized amount to clean, dry skin in an upward, circular motion to the face, neck and forehead. The cream should be allowed to fully absorb. They also state that it is suitable for the under eye area.

Price

The cost is $22.95 for a 50ml/1.7 oz. bottle. There are no discounts for bulk buys, but there is an option to subscribe and save 10%, reducing the price to $20.66. However, we caution against signing up for subscribe and save options because they can often be nearly impossible to cancel or they are easy to forget about. The price tag on this Retinol cream is on the lower end. While this is good news for our wallets, it’s likely that the unstated quantities of the active ingredients in this formula may account for this, which would make this a lower quality cream compared to some of the others that we have reviewed.

Guarantee

Revive Science has a 30-day return policy if you are not pleased with your purchase, starting from the day that you receive your item. To be eligible for a return, the bottle must be in the same condition that you received it, unused and in its original packaging, and you must have the receipt or proof of purchase. If a product can’t be opened or tried out, the guarantee from this company does not instill us with much confidence.

Conclusion

We like that Revive Science Retinol Cream contains many of the most potent ingredients to support a quality Retinol product. We also appreciate that it comes in a hygienic pump bottle and that it has been formulated to be suitable for all skin types, including sensitive, dry and oily skin. Moreover, this is a company that strives to embrace quality and safety by creating products that are independently tested, non-GMO, paraben-free and cruelty-free. However, if you are looking for a powerful Retinol cream that you can really trust to deliver the best results,we recommend looking for a product from a company that is not afraid to publicize the percentage of the active ingredients they have included. We urge caution before purchasing any Retinol product that fails to present the amount of even the primary Retinol ingredient, especially when too much or too little can make all the difference to the effect the product has on your skin. Lastly, considering that Revive Science only accepts returns on unopened products, there is no grace period for you to try out this product and see if it works for you without the risk of losing your hard earned money.
