Introduction

What we immediately liked about this product is that it's fragrance, cruelty and paraben free. Its key ingredients are hyaluronic acid, jojoba seed oil, and sage leaf extract. It has generally good customer reviews, and is manufactured in an FDA-registered and GMP-compliant facility. It’s recommended for all skin types, especially for dry, mature skin.

Jojoba oil was high on the list of ingredients, meaning that there is a decent amount of it in the formula. This is good, as jojoba oil has many benefits such as moisturizing the skin, balancing sebum (oil) production, and providing anti-inflammatory properties. However, hyaluronic acid was much lower on the list, which probably means not enough of it was included in the formula. We were also disappointed that sodium hyaluronate was not used, as this is the more absorbable form of hyaluronic acid and therefore provides more effective results.

It’s also important to note that the return policy for this product is for 30 days starting from your order date. This doesn’t necessarily give you enough time to try out the product and decide if it works well for you, so consider carefully before ordering.

Ingredients

There are 3 key ingredients found in this product, they are:

  • Hyaluronic Acid - helps to hydrate and retain moisture, reducing the visibility of fine lines and wrinkles.
  • Jojoba Seed Oil - contains anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial and antioxidant properties which help to protect the skin, moisturize and fight acne.
  • Sage Leaf Extract - rich in vitamins and antioxidants and provides antibacterial properties.
While these are good ingredients, we would have liked to see how much of each was included in the formula. We would have also liked to see some other ingredients included, such as retinol and collagen. Additionally, we want more information on the ingredients used, as well as links to clinical studies that confirm the efficacy of these ingredients. Transparency is key, and unfortunately there isn’t enough of it on their website.

With regards to the inactive ingredients, there are not many, and those used are generally safe.

How To Use

AM: Apply after cleansing and allow to thoroughly dry prior to application of sunscreen.
PM: Apply after cleansing and using your treatment or corrector.

Price

ClarityRx Feel Better Hyaluronic Acid Moisturizing Cream comes in two sizes:

50gr/1.7oz jar costs $70, a bit higher than our top picks.
15gr/0.5oz jar costs $32, which might be the better option as the return policy for this product is not ideal; however, this is a lot of money for a small jar.

Guarantee

ClarityRx will accept returns on purchases made within 30 days only. There are instructions on the website about how to claim your refund. It’s reassuring that there is a money-back guarantee; however, many people need a few weeks in order to see if a skincare product works for them. This policy may only be suited for consumers who are diligent about returns.

Conclusion

We really like that this product is made with safe, pure ingredients, and that it has some good customer reviews backing it. What we were disappointed with was the lack of transparency, as well as the exclusion of key ingredients such as collagen and retinol. Without these, the beneficial properties might not be strong enough to make this cream effective for everyone. The use of hyaluronic acid and not sodium hyaluronate is also disheartening, as we expect a hyaluronic acid cream to use the finest type of hyaluronic acid, and ClarityRx missed the mark in this case.

While we like trying out new products, in this case the limited return policy doesn’t really allow us to do this without potentially losing out on a significant amount of money. $70 isn’t cheap, and we expect a company that has faith in its products to offer its consumers a more extensive period to return the product if they are not satisfied.

This is a clean, safe product. As to its efficacy, we are not quite as sure, and results may also vary between people.
