In our quest to find eye creams with patented ingredients that actually deliver anti-aging results, we naturally had to investigate Chamonix’s product. As a skincare brand, they offer generous portions of their products and are known to include ingredients based on scientific studies. We like that its eye cream is a one-ounce jar whereas all the other eye creams we reviewed are 0.5 ounces, however, the price is a lot more than double the price, and therefore may be unaffordable to most people. Even if you don’t mind expensive eye creams, there is the question of if it is actually worth the price. Chamonix Jeunesse Eye Crème contains one patented ingredient called Relaxoderm Technology. Our biggest issue is that there is no information about this. The link on the Chamonix website for the clinical study leads nowhere, and there is scant information available about this technology online. So while this eye cream hits many of our criteria, it didn’t check all of them, and therefore fell to our #2 spot.

Ingredients

Jeunesse Eye Crème contains 3 active ingredients, one of which is patented. It was frustrating researching these ingredients as there is a real lack of information on Chamonix's website. Any information we did find was of our own volition. The three active ingredients are:

Relaxoderm Technology - No information provided about what this does.
GABA - Relaxes muscles topically and is also involved in wound healing.
Gynostemma - Also known as Jiaogulan, this plant grows in China and is claimed to offer many healing benefits such as being an antioxidant and anti-aging agent.

Additionally, there are about 15 other ingredients found in this eye cream. Some of them are cetyl alcohol, cetearyl alcohol, glyceryl stearate and natural fragrance. There is no information as to what the ratio is between active and inactive ingredients.

How To Use

To apply, use a small amount under and around the eye area. It is recommended to use in the morning with claims for visible results in 5 to 10 minutes. Do this before using a moisturizing cream.

While we placed it in our #2 spot because of its one patented ingredient, we would have liked to see some scientific proof or been quoted a study of how Relaxoderm Technology works. In general, there is a lack of information regarding the formula. We had to go digging around the internet to find anything at all about the rest of the active ingredients. Additionally, there is no mention of the concentration of this patented ingredient with regards to the rest of the ingredients in this cream. Lastly, while customers may want to try the Chamonix Jeunesse Eye Crème, many will find the price to be unaffordable. It is for these reasons which we could not make this our #1 product and instead dropped it down to #2.
