Introduction
We were excited to review LAPCOS Red Collagen Hydrating Cream for its Korean-derived roots and for its uniqueness. As a collagen cream should, this product takes a dual-action approach by boosting collagen levels as well as collagen production. It contains Marine Collagen for replenishing collagen levels as well as Snow Algae, Soybean, and a Red Flower Complex for increasing collagen production. These ingredients also work together to clear skin tone, decrease irritation, and lock in hydration.
Unfortunately, this product is not made in the USA so we are not familiar with all of the manufacturing standards and whether it is certified safe. However, LAPCOS does proudly state that it’s a cruelty free product which we always appreciate. The formula is also free from alcohol and parabens. To our disappointment, the product is also free of a satisfaction guarantee. There is no period of grace in which to test out LAPCOS Red Collagen Hydrating Cream for yourself; once you buy it, it’s yours. We always feel more comfortable recommending buying from a company that offers a satisfaction guarantee for at least 60 days (the longer the better)

Ingredients
This dual action formula contains 4 key ingredients, or “hero ingredients” as the LAPCOS website refers to them. These ingredients hydrate and restore Collagen to the skin to reduce the appearance of aging. What bothered us about this product is that ingredient percentages are not provided so we cannot judge if each ingredient is present in a large enough amount or standardization to actually garner results. Nevertheless, let’s take a look at the key ingredients in Red Collagen Hydrating Cream:
- Snow Algae (Chlamydomonas Extract) - Helps slow down aging in skin cells and increases Collagen production.
- Soybean - Restores Collagen and elastin due to omega 3 and 6 content.
- Red Flower Complex - This ingredient gives this product its name and consists of Camellia, Red Poppy Flower and Hibiscus Flower Extracts to clear skin tone and support collagen production.
- Hydrolyzed (Marine) Collagen - This is more absorbable than regular Collagen and helps to lock in moisture and boost Collagen levels.
How To Use
At the last step of your skincare regimen, pat a small amount of product onto your face and neck until it is fully absorbed.
Price
This costs $39 for a standard 1.69 fl. oz bottle. Based on the market prices we observed this seems to be a fair priced product.
Guarantee
At first glance, there is no indication that the LAPCOS brand accepts returns or offers a guarantee on its products. Upon digging around the website, we found a mention in the category labeled ‘shipping policy’. It was here that we found that returns are accepted within 14 days of purchase, so long as they are unused and in their original packaging. In short, this type of guarantee is pretty useless as it can take up to a month to start to see results.
Conclusion
This collagen cream uses hydrolyzed Marine Collagen which can penetrate into the skin and 3 supporting ingredients to boost collagen production and even skin tone. We like the ingredients that LAPCOS has chosen to include but would have liked to be told the percentages to better understand if this is a helpful product. Sometimes a company will include the minimum amount of an ingredient so their marketing can boast about having it when there isn’t enough to do anything more than catch your eye. Because LAPCOS isn’t transparent about this, we just don’t know. However, the majority of reviews were positive and customers appear to be satisfied with this product. While this is somewhat convincing, the lack of a customer satisfaction guarantee makes us hesitant to lift this product any higher on the scoreboard.
